Two more shots from the zoo out of order. We got to see a Siberian Tiger (Jack - I know you will like this and wish you had been here with us!!!) very, very up close. We were no more than a foot from its face although there was glass between us and him. The front paws were huge to walk in the snow (good job on that report, Jack!).
Denise and Kate on the steps of the Peoples Hall in Chongqing. This is the largest assembly hall in China and is now used as a theater for the ballet, opera, etc. It was built in the 1950's.
More scenes fromt he zoo. Anita, our CCAI guide, is at right. She has done a great job taking care of us and the babies as needs arise. She works very hard and makes sure we stay busy and also get rest as needed.
More pandas chomping on bamboo.
Here we are at the Panda park at the Chongqing zoo. The zoo is very peaceful and there were several pandas to see. We got very close so it was very cool.
Today was our day to go to the zoo in Chongqing. We woke early as is always the case and gave Kate a bath. Her favorite foods right now (besides her bottle) are bananas and carrots. Supplies of those we brought with us are running low so we hope she likes squash and apples. We also used Skype to do a video phone call home to the boys and Cici and Hop!! It was so great to see and hear them live thru the computer and for them to see us and Kate. We spoke for at least 15 minutes. We so miss them!!! Many thanks to the Owens for helping set that up at home. More stories from our day are above.
