The moms all hung out in the room last night with the babies while the dads went out with our guide for a "Hot Pot" dinner. Hot Pot is a big pot in the middle of the table where the customers throw in all sorts of meats and vegetables to cook. When the food is cooked everyone uses spoons to take out what they wish to eat and then places the food in a bowl of soy and garlic before eating. Chongqing is known for its hot pot dinners and the locals like it very spicey!!! Ours was "mild" and we were all sweating pretty hard. We had beef, pork, mushrooms, bamboo, rice noodles, pigeon eggs and lots of other stuff. Don pulled up a fish head from the bottom but that was just in there to make the broth tastier.
We got these cute shots of all the babies in the group. Kate is in all pink in case you are not sure. They are all from the same orphanage and very close in age.
After the guys got back, we went for a walk around town. They have a big fountain show out front and there were tons of people out walking and dancing in the center square. It was really fun.
